What a blessing you all are to us. As we watch the stats and map stats within our Christian Blogging network, it brings such encouragement and joy to us to see all the visitors from around the world. My original prayer when we started this online ministry and network was "Lord send them from the north, the south, the east and the west" and "may you Lord be Glorified, as others are blessed".

Many times people bring false accusations against others with an agenda. They usually start with behind closed doors gossip as to gather strength in numbers. Yet it's the agenda that drives their heart. After they sow the seeds of false accusations whereas they feel empowered, they then put their agenda's to work with the well "we think" mind set.

Granma's Home Cooked Meals

Both of my grandmothers have passed on. But oh how I remember those great meals that they could cook. There was just something about that generation and cooking. It's like it meant something to cook great dinners. Everything was fresh, home made and simply delicious. My mother, God rest her soul and sister also cooked great meals. It seems that the recipes were passed down. One of my grandmothers spent most her life in Ohio and the other in Kansas. That might have something to do with it. Both my grandfathers were farmers. That also might have something to do with it.

 

However, today it's restaurants, fast food, frozen and what's available at the grocery store. Nothing could possibly compare with those farm style Midwest home cooked meals coupled with all the home made pies with the fruit picked right of the trees in the back yard.

 

Well, it's time to go eat. We are having barbecued chicken tonight, mashed potatoes, gravy and a nice veggie.

The Dreaded Trip To The Dentist

Ouch! I've been fighting some major tooth pain. I went through the antibiotics and pain pills which did help, however it's looking like it's time for some dental work which I'm not looking forward to. Let's see, $90.00 for the office visit and a estimate of repairs (kinda feel like a car) and then around $175.00 to pull the tooth. So we are looking at a few hundred bucks at the very least. Ouch! and ouch! I don't know which hurts more the pain or the cost of the dental work. Hey, maybe there's a stimulus package that will cover this. We had the cash for clunkers, how about cash for dental work. OK, I'm trippen :)

Hitting The Mark While Running Life's Race

What a mad house life can occasionally be. The demands, responsibilities, schedules, work, financial responsibilities and every other aspect of life can be like a mad house. Then of course there are those hidden and unseen situations that arise. Ouch!

 

It's like being in a race, running the fast lane of life and trying to hit the mark. Problem is that fast lane just never seems to end, and whatever mark we hoped to hit or accomplish seems to get lost in the lane changes, off ramps and on ramps of the freeway system.

 

Let me encourage you. If life is getting the best of you, slow down. Take some time, relax and simply put things into perspective. I also encourage you to spend some time in prayer seeking God for His perfect will in your life. Drama, Kaos & Hot Frying Pans

There's nothing worse than bad hair day people. People that are always looking for some dramatic situation to unfold to make their day seem worth wild. People that are always gossipping about the latest, meddling in other peoples affairs, pointing fingers at others, judging and creating drama. I just don't understand that mind set. As if peace, happiness and joy escape them. What kind of life is that?

 

Life is beautiful, it is wonderful and it is filled with wonder. Yes, there are those days, weeks and sometimes seasons, but why with intent create difficulties and hardships. Why light the fire, place the skillet on it and jump into the skillet. And the worst part, why expect others to jump into the skillet with you.

Finding God In The Midst Of Difficulties

Very few people look towards God when things are going well. Truth is they are usually to busy and consumed to think about God. However, when times become difficult or troubles come, that's when we all seem to call out to God. Sometimes God takes the worst of situations and circumstances and turns them into blessings. We of course can't see this in the beginnings or as it's unfolding, but as time passes we do.

 

If your encountering difficulties let me encourage you to call out to God through times of prayer, worship and simply taking the time to share fellowship with Him. You just might find all your difficulties being turned into blessings as time passes.

Touching The Nations Of The World In High Speed

Have you ever noticed how many times we seem to get into high gear before we shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and to 4th. This happens in churches, in ministries and in our personal lives. Personally I have found God, my walk with God and the Christian life to be season after season of change and that God is in no hurry. Considering that Christ died upon the cross over 2,000 years ago and countless generations and seasons have unfolded, that in it's self proves that God is a patient God. After all, God could have judged the world 1,000 years ago and called His Bride home, yet here we are, still awaiting the second coming of Christ.

 

Many times, we just flat out get in a hurry. We get so far ahead of God, His plans and His purposes that we are creating our own agenda's while thinking and believing we are in God's Perfect Will. I've oftened wondered this in regards to the size of our online ministry which has grown to over 150 separate ministry blogs, not counting all the other blogging communities that we are involved within. Yet and again, I feel this overwhelming call to share the love of Christ and His Redeeming Passion with the world. If you have a passion to share Christ with the world, contact us. Return To The Lord

Instabilities: Jesus spoke of the man who built his house on solid foundation vs. the man that built his house on sand. One was built on rock solid foundation, while the other was not. Jesus went on to say that the house built on the solid foundation could withstand difficult times, that the winds could blew and the house would remain, but that the house built on sand would not stand and great would be the fall of it. Just imagine the endless situations and circumstances that this application could apply to.

 

Sometimes it's possible to start out on solid foundation and slowly be moved to unstable foundation. One way for this to happen is through compromise. We all occasionally compromise, however if we continue to walk in compromise it can cause a shift and that shift can lead to unstable grounds.

 

When this happens, we must examine situations, ourselves, and the path that we have taken. For it's easy to get off course in today's world. Sometimes the answer to the situation is to change course, other times we must make right wrongs, other times we need to unspin webs, and other times simply need to return to the Lord.

 

There are blessings found in the straight and narrow.

God's Little Lambs

We have a wonderful children's ministry at our church and a very loving pastor that pastor's over the children. She's truly a very loving and special woman who loves God and his little lambs. It's such a blessing to see all the joy on the children's faces each weekend as they attend the children's classes. You see, this one woman's love, dedication, sacrifice and simply who she is in Christ touches and makes a huge difference in the lives of so many. It's breathtaking and priceless to see.

 

Just imagine if we all possessed such character and qualities. Our world would be a better place.

When Misery Becomes Daily Life

We occasionally encounter those days that affect us. They affect our happiness, our personalities, our character and some times others around us. Depression is occasionally a part of life, unfortunately. However when misery and unhappiness becomes a daily routine, somethings wrong, drastically wrong. Many times within this we easily blame others for our unhappiness or we adapt that if only I could, or if only life was attitude.

 

The truth is that there is something wrong and that something is found deep inside of us. Yes, we can blame others and take on that pity party attitude. We can apply that but if only mindset, however the truth is that we need to look within us, deep within us, because somethings missing. You see, we were not created to live a life of sadness, misery and unhappiness. Life is not suppose to be ruled by these emotions and problems.

 

If you're dealing with daily misery and can't find happiness. Is it possible that what's truly missing is God in your life?

Have you ever performed a word study in the Bible on joy and laughter? It's a fun and very informative Bible study. Where there is laughter, heaviness ceases. Where there is joy, depression flees. Where joy and laughter are found, sadness is not.

Allow The Peace Of God To Quiet The Storms

I love to rest in God. Life comes with many different challenges and sometimes those challenges can overwhelm us. Over the years I've learned a very important fruit of the Spirit. Patience! Within such, I've learned to rest in God, to not respond so quickly or become easily offended by situations. I simply take a deep breath and start praying when situations arise. When we rest in God, we find God's peace, wisdom and counsel flowing and that simply calms the storms. It helps us to put things into perspective.

 

Let me encourage you to rest in God when things seem to overwhelm you. Remember, yesterday is gone, today is here, and tomorrow will take care of it's self. Allow Jesus to calm the storms, and allow the Holy Spirit to minister peace to you.

Have you ever asked yourself what is the business of the Kingdom. Jesus said that He was about His Father's business. Jesus also called the money changers and those selling merchandise out side of the Temple, some pretty harsh things.

 

When you read the Bible and the accounts of Jesus and the Apostles, what do you find? Do you find a huge marketing concept? Do you find a huge merchandising concept? Did Jesus and the Apostles set up store fronts, open business and market God's Word, Salvation, Redemption and charge admission on the Day Of Pentecost.

 

Yet today, church's are big business. I've been pondering that a lot lately, wondering if such things are being about the Father's business.

Team Work, Body Parts

Team work has it's benefits. Picture a football team that didn't function as a team or a baseball team that didn't work together. Sometimes it's hard to be a part of a team, and other times things just flow quite nicely. I think that some times it's not so much the team work that makes great things happen, but the fact that the team is all working together to achieve on goal. In sports that could be to win.

 

The body of Christ is made up of many members, yet it is one body. Every member is important regardless of what position they hold. Imagine a body with no eye's, or with no feet, or with no hands. That would be a body missing important parts. It is the same sometimes within the body of Christ at a local congregation. Important parts are missing or have yet to be connected to the body.

Love, Power And Authority

I love the word of God, the teachings of Jesus and yes, the teachings of the Apostles. Jesus made things simple and the Apostles whom were led of the Spirit and anointed in power went forth preaching the Word with signs and wonders following as the Lord was working with them. Preaching was simple. It was about Christ and the rule of the Kingdom. Prayer was simple and through such lives were changes and transformed. The Apostles walked the walk and were about the business of the Kingdom as Jesus was about His Father's business. Neither Jesus or the Apostles walked around with Bibles.

 

The Apostles and the church were empowered by the Holy Ghost and the church was being born as it unfolded. You see something wonderful happened on the Day Of Pentecost. The church was born, the Apostles were empowered and Kingdom Authority was the rule. Heaven came to earth like a Mighty Rushing Wind.

 

It's time for the church to submit to the word of God, the doctrine of the Apostles, cast out the religious spirit and the precepts of men. It's time for the church to stand upon the very ROCK whom is the Lord, the Holy and Anointed One. It's time for the church to rise up in love, in power and in authority.

The Words Of Jesus On Life

Just imagine if your house was not built on concrete, but rather sand. Things could become very unstable at any given time. A earthquake could occur, or a winter storm. There could be a flood, or even a mudslide. The results could be very bad. Just imagine all the potential possibilities for disaster if your house was built on sand. Now imagine your life being built on sand.

Here are the words of Jesus on the matter. Life changing words that are over 2,000 years old, yet eternal.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

They key is reading, knowing, understanding and holding onto the sayings of Jesus.

What is living a life of victory? How do you measure a life of victory? Is it wealth, possessions, material things, health, who you are, what you accomplish, what others say about you? Well I guess many would say yes. However consider this. Living a victorious life just might be a life of blessing others. In other words having the ability to do good, to make a difference and to be a world changer. Regardless of how we might all see what it is to live a victorious life. One thing is certain.
